GIRL OR BOY

Alright everyone, it's time to find out!

What do you think BOY or GIRL!?!?

Look forward to a post this week, maybe today if our little peanut cooperates!

Rockstar & FW Zoo

This past week (I need to steal some pics) we had a picnic/playday at the park with some friends.  One of my sweet friends is super creative with the kids and made them all little goody baskets for the kids! They included silly string, chalk, sunglasses, and pinwheels! Such a thoughtful lady, Thank you Kathryn! :)

As you can see Logan thought the sunglasses were pretty great! I called him a rockstar which he repeated so now when he sees the sunglasses he attempts to say rockstar.

Sweet boy!

This weekend we made a short, quick trip to Fort Worth.  I had some wedding stuff to take care of with my sister and Mom and JD came to spend the weekend with little man! My sweet sister in law let us crash at her place and the boys got to play and we got to catch up, it was perfect!! On Saturday while I was out with my Mom and sister; JD, his sister, nephew, Logan, and my Dad went to the Fort Worth Zoo! I can admit I was a little jealous to miss out on the Zoo experience with everyone, but had a great time with my Mom and sister.

Logan and his Granddad looking at all the animals!

Sweet nephew Mark!

Look at that smile... Love him!

Looks like they had an awesome time seeing all the animals and spending time with the family! I'm so thankful we get to share such precious memories with our families!

Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles!!

This past week Logan and I went to look at Target for some fun outside toys.  When we got there everything I mentioned he started repeating the words and I was in shock! He is finally starting to talk and make short sentences! 2 things he kept repeating in Target was bubbles and beach ball, so what did we walk out of Target with, just that a bubble machine & sprinkler beach ball!

When Logan asks for bubbles though, he says, "Bubbles, BuBbLeS, BUBBLES!!!" Never just once, but 3 times!

He loved "dunking" and then running after the bubbles with his finger to pop them!

This may be the best purchase for the summer.  He loved how it sprayed water and he could roll it and run around it!

Father/Son March Madness Moment....

Shaving Cream & Swimming Pool

Logan went to play at a friends house while I had an appt last week and when I came back to get him he hardly acknowledged me! Which hurt my feelings at first and then I heard about what an AWESOME and FUN time he had at his friend Madelyn's house and I wouldn't have acknowledged me either!! One of the things he got to do while he was there was play with shaving cream on the counter... new found love.. I think so! I went home and told JD about it and we just had to try it out that weekend.

We even invited some friends to play with us! Molly & Tessa came to join us!

We also got to play in the pool in our FABULOUS 80 degree weather!!

One of our new favorite afternoon activities is watering the flowers... and occasionally ourselves.

"Hi, Mom!"

This past week was absolutely beautiful, please weather stay for a while!

Much love,

Hughes

This weekend after watching most of our neighbors start spiffing up their front yards we got the guilt trip to spiff up ours too! Trust me it needed it soooo bad! So off to Hughes Plant Farm it was!

Logan enjoyed watching after all the plants in the wagon.
He even got out and "helped" me pick out a few of them.

Trying to get the little man to smile, he did not want to look away from his plants!

This was also the first time we got him to wear his hat and keep it on!!

It was a FABULOUS family day! We got azaleas to plant in the front of the house, we killed 2 last year. :( Some random flowers to put by the mailbox and then some tomatoes and bell peppers in the pots! It's Logan and I's job to keep them watered everyday! He is so good at it!

Lovin' these warm spring days... keep it coming weather! We could get used to this!

Much love,

Celebrating Grandmomma

This weekend was bittersweet for our family.  My grandmother (Grandmomma) passed away on January 21 of this year and although her passing was a blessing for she is no longer suffering anymore, she will be missed in a BIG way! I have never known someone to give as many compliments as this woman did, she was a believer, one of the most wonderful cooks/bakers, would LOVE you till you couldn't take it anymore.  This weekend we celebrated her life with all our family and her dearest friends in Port St. Joe, FL. This place is just as dear to me as she was and the memories that were made there are precious! I am thankful that my family still gets to enjoy this wonderful place, I find peace at the beach.  I am thankful and blessed that I had the opportunity to speak at her memorial, for those of you who know me public speaking is not my thing, but nonetheless it was a special moment that I will not forget.

I apologize for the long post, but I'll cherish these pictures and what we celebrated all weekend.

Logan's first airport shuttle ride!

Logan and Granddad (Whom he called Papa all weekend :) LOVED it!) watching airplanes. My child was in heaven.

A ship was docked at the Marina all weekend long so we went and took a tour of it.

Logan & Dad walking the FREEZING beach!!!

I walked these beaches every year of my life, most of the times with my Grandmomma.

The happy couple and where they got engaged...

We talked about airplanes alot this weekend.

I could look at this all day long...

These stairs have been here for as long as I can remember.
What a wonderful thing that my children get to enjoy one of the most cherished things of my childhood!

Emme & Logan looking at the Pelicans.

Grandmomma's service.
What a beautiful woman, inside and out.

Pictures of all our family and Grandmomma.

My handsome & WONDERFUL hubby with Logan.
We didn't take a picture that day

The bay in town.

Horrible pic of me, but I love that little man is smiling.

We rode bikes around the Marina and around town.

Even Tandem bikes.... which is not as easy as it looks folks.

One of the most hilarious moments of the day.
Seriously riding one of these things is great marriage counseling.

Our family!

We also got to go fishing on the boat & feed the dolphins!!

Feeding the seagulls

Well to say the least it was a peaceful and relaxing weekend celebrating one of the most wonderful women I have known in my life. She was laid to rest exactly where she wanted to be surrounded by all of her family and the ones that loved her most.
