El Dorado Christmas

After opening presents all morning and sharing breakfast together we loaded everything up and headed home for the evening before waking up and heading to El Dorado, AR the next day.

This kiddo was in mid-bite and just passed out. You can tell how much fun he had that morning.

One of the days in El Dorado we went to the Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources-- known to the locals as the Oil and Brime Museum. We needed to let the kids run around and get some energy out! This was the perfect way and place to do it!

They had an illusion room with lots of mirrors and such. Jackson loved this.
Family photo op. Ha!

Right where they belong... jk
Did keep them contain for a moment though! :)

Already showing them the inner workings of the oil field.
Logan was learning how the oil pumps work.

Jackson- the lone man waiting for the show to begin.  He loved the waiting for it to start part, it was the when the show began he didn't want in there any more.

Grandma and Logan doing some of the activities.

Is that a young Uncle Joe? Oh wait, Jackson decided to steal his comfy seat for a while!

El Dorado Christmas, Dirty Santa gift exchange.
This was such a fun idea! I got an helium balloon that is remote control in the shape of a Nemo fish for Logan and JD got a Razorback cup with a gc for Sonic in it. I think he has used that cup everyday since.

Logan and the J Doyle's fish tank.
This was a big hit with the boys! Uncle Joe let them help feed the fish and clean the tank.
He was pretty proud!

Thank you Joe & Jane for opening your home to us! Your hospitality as always was delightful and we couldn't have imagined it any other way! Thank you!

Much love,

Christmas Morning

Christmas Morning was fabulous, a little chaotic, but fabulous!
The older the boys get the more fun it seems to be!
Jd started out the morning with the Christmas story and opening our stockings, followed by handing out presents and opening!

Mark got the train table that the boys got last year. He loved it-- what am I talking about, they ALL loved it!

Logan playing on Owen's Santa gift.

Stockings!

Logan and Daddy before he reads the Christmas story.

Everyone listening to the Christmas story.

The little boys! They are so good at cheesing!

All 4 boys in their pj's!
Best we could get.

Jackson opening a gift.

Owen and his gift.

JD and his gift. His Dad and I thought alike on this one and got him the same thing! Good thing James wanted one for himself! :)

Everyone opening gifts.

In their stockings we got the boys Lightning McQueen headlights, we had NO idea how much they would LOVE these.

It was hilarious!

We had a very Merry Christmas and were blessed far and beyond!

Christmas Eve

We had a lovely Christmas eve!
It was filled with games, movies, outdoors, naps, spa treatments, cooking, friends, family, building, and getting excited for the following day.

Grandma played games with the kiddos, Candyland and Chutes and Ladders.  A First for Logan with a board game, but he LOVED it!!!

I accidently spilled some water while I was holding Owen sleeping and it went under this chair. The boys (big and little) came to the rescue and cleaned up my mess.  The little boys decided to make the chair a movie watching hideout as the floor dried. It kinda stuck and they watched most of Tangled this way!

During the day Grandpa, JD, Mark, & Logan helped get Mark & Owen's treehouse started.

Christmas Eve night after church service we came home and made gingerbread train!

Each kiddo got to decorate part of the train before the Mom's put it together.

They did such a GREAT job decorating!

Even Jackson loved it!

Mark and Aunt Jenn decorating their train.

Little bit of taste testing while we work.

Table was set for Christmas morning breakfast and the trains assembled as the table decorations!
