Emme & Papa's

The boys and I headed to Arkansas after our weekend in Fort Worth.  Thankfully I have a VERY thoughtful Mother-in-law who rode with us to Arkansas so I would only have to make one 6 hour trip by myself with the boys! Thank you, thank you Grandma for riding with us!
Also, thank you to Grandpa who drove JD all the way back to Tyler before heading back to Arkansas himself that day. How blessed we are to have such generous people in our lives!

We spent from Monday- Memorial Day -->Saturday morning in Arkansas enjoying LOTS of good family time and helping Emme around the house.  We spent most afternoons in the pool with Papa after work and most days walking and playing with Emme! The boys had a BLAST! They absolutely did not want to leave and who could blame them!

We have been working a lot with Logan swimming. He is able to follow instructions really well and really enjoys the water so we wanted to started getting him used to being in the water.
We started with a life jacket on and by the end of the week he was floating around with Papa without it.  I think Papa could have had him swimming if we would have just had 2 more days.

Of course Jackson LOVED floating around the pool with Emme, especially when he could watch Jake and Lola run around the pool.

This kid has a grip like none other...

We dropped by a consignment store while in Arkansas and found this AWESOME tent...
The boys had a blast with it.. and even Papa could fit in it!

Papa and Logan watching the squirrels and birds in the front yard.

Logan and Papa...

My little work out buddy...

I could just eat him up! I live for his smile!

and his little toot face too...

Jackson was OBSESSED with Emme's magazine table..

Something to celebrate!

This past weekend not only did we get some great family/cousin time in, we also were in Fort Worth to celebrate and encourage our brother-in-law, Tommy as he was baptized. He was baptized at Harvest Church on May 27th.
It was a beautiful service and I was so glad we were able to be there to support him in this step of faith!
Proud of you Tommy and cannot wait to see where the Lord will lead you next.

After church we all went to lunch to celebrate and enjoy some more family time together!
It had been such a long time since I had been to the Reata restaurant downtown, but it was delicious and our little room was perfect for the kiddos!

Eskimo Mark...
The kiddos did SO good and ALL crashed either at the end of lunch, on the way home or immediately when we got home.

Tommy's celebratory dessert!

Sweet Jackson all passed out and sweet Daddy lovin on him!

Two very tired boys!

It was a busy and fun weekend and always enjoyable!

Cousin Fun!!

Let me tell you, these boys as they get older are going to be a MESS!
They had SO SO SO much fun together this past weekend! What a blessing it was to watch them play together, share, call for each other, and most of all love on each other!
Can't wait for more of these days this summer!

3 boys!
Jackson, Mark, & Logan

My sister in law said it best, "Monkey see--Monkey do."
LOVE this picture!

Jackson playing..

Logan & Mark playing in the backyard with beans! It was precious!

My favorite part was Mark calling Logan-- Carter.  Carter is a sweet friend of Mark's who he hangs out with quite a bit and Mark kept thinking Logan's name was Carter. It was hilarious! We will get it right one of these days!

Summer Pool Day!!

We are enjoying LOTS of pool days already this summer!!

Both boys were just eatin it up this day and had SO much fun!
It helped that we were in great company too!
I am however looking forward to swimming lessons starting this week!

Our 2 boys hamming it up as usual!

Let me tell you 4 kids--- 2 toddlers and 2 infants= difficult picture & many takes!

Sweet Sharing

We have been talking a lot about SHARING the past few weeks and being KIND to each other.
I soak in those moments when the boys get it.. or at least it seems like they get it!

I continue to look forward to the day they are running around together and enjoying each other's company!

Hallie Girl

This past week was sorta a special week because one of my close friends, Mel (one of my best friends in high school- how thankful I am we are still close!) and her little girl Hallie came and stayed the night with us last Wednesday! We had such a wonderful visit and we were blessed to spend time with them! It was nice having a little girl in the house too... even though Jackson gave her quite the "tackling" welcome. What can we say.. that's what happens in a house of boys!

Sweet Hallie..
She got up on all 4's for the first time while she was here!
I love little milestones!

Hallie sporting her cute swim suit!

The kiddos playing the pool!
It was Hallie's first time in a baby pool too!
Another thing we learned is that our boys LOVE to splash.
Hallie was a little overwhelmed by this, but handled it so bravely!

Her and Jackson playing...

Jackson just wanted to hold her hand...
Ok.. I'm sure everyone notice me holding my child back by his shirt
He just really REALLY liked her! :)

Hallie & Jackson playing in the pool!

Thank you Mel & Hallie for coming to visit!
We sure enjoyed having you and can't wait for some more summer playdates! :)
