Annual Pumpkin Carving

Every year that we have lived in Tyler our Sunday School class has gotten together and done a pumpkin carving party! The last 2 years we have hosted at our house, but this year the Tylers stepped up to do it! They sure do know how to throw a good party, especially one that entertains all ages! Our kids L.O.V.E their house! They are expecting their first little man in Feb. and his Mom & Dad are ready for him!

Sunday School Zoo Day

This past week we had a zoo day for our sunday school class. It was free admission when you brought a phone book so not sure there is a better deal than that. It was a zoo photo scavenger hunt.  One of our class members works at the zoo so this was a great opportunity for him to show us around and have fun! Logan and I have made numerous trips to the zoo, but this was Jackson's first time! 

It was a lot of fun and we even won the scavenger hunt....

Logan has really taken to tools lately.  He loves to fix things, build things, figure out how they work...etc. 

Please excuse our yard, but Logan sure does love the dirt! 

And with the drought its really not worth fixing up right now either.

Our little pumpkin

I saw this on pinterest and I just had to try it. 

It didn't work as well as I wanted to, so we will give it another go later on. I would like to find a rounder pumpkin.  But they were kinda cute! At least the munchkin in the pumpkin is adorable! :) 

Rule #1: do this in the morning not during a nap time.

Rule #2: Make pumpkin shorter. 

** He is not naked or just in a diaper, we used one of Logan's orange t shirts, turned it upside down and put his legs in the arm holes and the shirt around his body. **

Rule #3: Don't do pictures when it's 85 degrees and humid while during nap time. Makes for perfect sleeping weather.

Rule #4: Make sure to not get a lop-sided pumpkin. 

It was a great thought though. Maybe next time! :)

Our sweet neighbor, who I will be honest we don't really know. He works night shift so it's odd hours, but he came over and brought this car to Logan and told him he could have it. We were stunned! Actually JD talked to him, I just walked outside and Logan was driving it, I was in complete shock. JD said he just wanted someone to get good use. Well mister it sure has already. You made this little boy very happy.
