Splish Splashin....

I know a lot of pool pictures here, I just never want to forget how fun my little man is right now!
So full of life and energy!

"Look Mom, I can jump high!!"

Splash!!

Look at that height...

hmm.. what to do next..

"Look Dad, an airplane!!!"

I'm so ANGRY!!!!
(Upset from the water up the nose picture before!)

Peek-a-boo

We are having so much fun in this wonderful HOT weather!!
Thank goodness for kid pools and toys!
I can tell this will be a familiar scene for our family!! :)

Worms... Ewwwww....

Never thought I would hear a boy say worms... ewwwww.....

Well my son is a first for me... haha! JD had wanted to go fishing this weekend so we got some worms just in case.  We had never shown Logan a worm before and let me tell you he was not a fan.

"What's that??"

Maybe if I lay on the ground I'll like it better...

I'll touch the container though!

Unfortunately we did not get to use the worms, but we did enjoy the lake anyways! :)

I wear my sunglasses.....

We started the weekend out taking the boat on the lake! I forgot how much I loved the lake and Logan the older he gets the more he loves it too, just like his Daddy! :)
This time we got him to wear his shades all day! (Thanks Ms. Megan!)

Daddy also taught us this weekend how to use the spray nozzle on the hose.  Talk about hilarious!

Little man and his Daddy driving the boat!

Logan's new favorite words... "Let's go!" and "Daddy/Mommy boat!!"

Pepper...

This year I REALLY wanted to plant a garden, but I KNOW for a fact it is not possible in our backyard.  So, this year JD fixed up 2 pots and we decided we would grow green peppers and tomatoes.  They have done SO good!! I let Logan pick one of the good peppers off yesterday and we went inside and washed it then I told him he could eat it.  I wish I would have filmed him getting the pepper off the plant though.  He was soooo excited! He even tried it, which if you know my child-- it's a miracle.

Excited about his pepper!

Gotta try it! Although he took a few bites... not sure he absolutely loved it! But, I'm proud of him for trying! Maybe we will try again!

Just as an extra! I watched a friends little girl, Ella yesterday and the kids had SO much fun! During the only moment both of them were still I decided I would snap a quick picture! They were enjoying a little Mickey Mouse before naptime! :)

Sweet Date

I blogged a few weeks ago about going to the Rangers game with some of our Sunday School Class.  Well, for us it was more than that, it was a small, sweet date that we had been needing for a while! :)

Although not the best pic of me, I look so tired Ha!
We had a blast and enjoyed every minute of our time together!
Love this man more and more everyday! So blessed to get to share life with him!

Canoe

As soon as we arrived home from Houston on Saturday evening, JD had been itching to go fishing for a couple weekends now so we decided to appease him and take the canoe out for a little bit. This wasn't Logan's first canoe ride, we have taken him one other time when he was smaller.  It can be considered his first big boy canoe ride though! He was so well behaved and really enjoyed it.  I mean we couldn't sit very long in one place, but if we were moving on the water he loved looking around.  He even got to take his little Snoopy pole with him to (pretend) fish.

Really ready to go with life jacket and all-- I forgot his Tevas too so the poor boy at to wear tennis shoes.

Getting his pole all ready to go.

Sitting up front with Mom calling the fishy's to the boat.

Although his pole has no line or hook or anything on it he had fun pretending to fish! Were looking forward to a lot more little canoe trips the older Logan gets, I can see him being a wonderful fishing partner! :)

Houston Daycation...

Last week JD had to go down to Houston for a meeting all day Friday, so instead of him driving all the way there and back we decided to make it a little mini family vacation! Logan and I made a day of it on Friday and waited patiently for Daddy to get done with his meeting! We went to breakfast at the hotel together to start the day off and then off to Memorial City Mall for a little shopping and extras! :)

At the Memorial City Mall they have an awesome play place and surprisingly it wasn't busy at all.  There were maybe 5 other kids besides Logan and he just had a ball! Especially after I made him sit in the stroller through my shopping at Target!

Cheesing....

Saw another big kid climb all the way up this dragon tail.. this is as far as he got, but I think it made him feel pretty BIG since the big boy climbed it too! :)

As we were playing in the play place a "choo-choo" drove by.  We are seriously into trains these days so it was like the highlight of his day seeing that.  If you know Logan he kept saying "What's that???" followed by "Choo-choo, please"
Well, I caved and we went and rode the train around the mall.  He absolutely LOVED it!!!
But, for the first time I can remember he wouldn't sit with me, he had to sit across from me while we rode.  Not going to lie I teared up just a bit... Little man is turning into a very big boy!

He was so excited!!

We had to go look at the engine afterwards....

After Logan took an awesome (2-5:30p) nap, Daddy was finally done with his meeting and we hit the pool before dinner! Unfortunately the water was pretty cold so I don't think Logan enjoyed it as much as we had hoped! But, he did warm up to the kid pool after a bit.

Daddy had to put in a little extra effort getting Logan in the big pool...

On Saturday after a wonderful family meal at Chili's the night before-- I know we have one in Tyler, but it was close and I was hungry so I didn't want to drive far--we hit the Houston Zoo up as a family! Logan and I have done the zoo once before just by ourselves, but everything is more fun when Daddy gets to go with us!! We love this zoo!

Daddy & Logan by the seals at the zoo.

Logan watching the turtles and fish.

They had this black and brown squirrel in an exhibit and we are very much into squirrels as well right now.

Neatest little tunnel for the kids to crawl through and the fish swim around them.  Logan made it this far and then turned around! He attempted though.

Logan and Mom being monkeys at the zoo!

Their children's area is pretty awesome as well, lots of slides!

Logan and Daddy visiting the (dirty) goats :) He loved it though!

Every once in a while, I've decided we need to do one of these Daycations.... so much fun and I love spending time as a family.  Especially before the new little man Jackson makes his appearance so soon!!
