Watermelon Boys...

At the Hawker stands they have some really yummy fruit.
One of the boys favorite things to do is get slices of watermelons and eat them down to the very core!

So good & refreshing!

River Safari & Miss. Anna

In addition to Grandma coming for Christmas one of our favorite people, Miss. Anna, came to stay with us for New Years! Anna lives in Changi Mai, Thailand and is a teacher & coach at an International School there. We not only got to spend time with Anna, but she brought someone special with her as well, Mr. Nathan! It was such a JOY to get to have Anna in Singapore and get to spend time with her and get to know Nathan better!

One thing we did while Anna was here was the River Safari at the Singapore Zoo. It just opened up and since JD had the day off we took advantage and explored it!
Above is Anna & Logan getting ready to ride the boat on the River Safari.  JD video taped the ride for Jackson and I since neither of us was allowed to participate due to height and pregnancy (guess I could say weight there ;))

They had lots of other exhibits through out the River Safari that J & I got to enjoy though! They had lots of information about the different rivers around the world and what fish/animals inhabit those rivers.

These boys love their Miss. Anna! She has known them both since they were born!

Logan wanted to pretend the snapping turtle was biting his foot off...

J & Daddy checking out all the fish!

Logan throwing up some signs with the panda bear.
This exhibit was suppose to be one of the most exciting ones, but unfortunately we didn't see much of the panda bears. One of them is actually very wary of people & noises and the other was sleeping.

I loved the manatees.
There were so man of them and they had the below view of them and then you could go up above to the top of the tank and watch them feed.

J loved the top of the tank where the trainers were feeding them!

Otters snoozing away.

Our group!

Miss. Anna is SO sweet and brought us little surprises.

MK got a ceramic hog from Thailand.

Logan & Jackson got cute shirts!

Jackson opened Hadlie's gift...

Anna got JD & I an elephant that was painted with all the landmarks of Singapore!
SO NEAT!

Logan showing off sweet Hadlie's Thai shoes! :)
Can't wait to put those on her!

Christmas Day in Singapore

We are so thankful that Grandma Weathers came to join us for Christmas. There is no better place to be than with family on Christmas! We woke up and the boys divided the presents up (these boys were blessed above and beyond) and after reading the Christmas story from the Bible we opened our gifts!

Of course some of us were enamored with the simple things rather than the gifts ;)

Sweet boy.

Logan got a few 3 in 1 Lego sets that he was absolutely stoked about! This boy has all his Father's brains when it comes to that! I love watching him follow directions, build something, and the satisfaction that comes from his accomplishment.

The boys for their stocking gifts this year got lots of art supplies and play doh!

Along with some fun watercolor paint sets.

Grandma & Grandpa Weathers got Logan a travel Lego case.
Which is PERFECT for him to take his Lego's with him since we are always on the go!

The boys each got a case of little rubber sharks to play with in the bath or take to the pool.

Now these were a serious hit! Each of the boys got remote control cars from Grandma & Grandpa.
It was hilarious to watch them figure out the controls!

Aunt Jenn & Uncle Tommy spoiled the boys with AWESOME airplanes from the movie Planes!

Jackson LOVED the planes!
He loved that movie so much.

Jackson helping Logan open a gift.
Aunt Jenn & Uncle Tommy also got Logan a big set of Legos.

Grandma & Grandpa got the boys a Lego Calendar as well!
Such a thoughtful gift especially since the boys and I have been learning our days of the week and months.
Plus it has very creative ideas of what to build with his new Legos.

I see this movie being played over and over again.

To go along with the boys art supplies, for myself and the boys we got some creative scissors.
I LOVE them and cannot wait to use them!

The one thing Logan asked for this Christmas was Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon. We asked him which dragon Jackson should get and he asked that we get him Nightmare.

Thankfully Grandma delivered on those! They LOVED them!

New hats as well! With the sun always beaming down here in Singapore the boys wear hats a lot.

When I was in Thailand with the girls I found these beautiful handmade aprons.
I thought this one looked like Mary Kay so I brought her back one.

Logan showing Grandma the ornament we got her for her tree with all her Grandkids on it.

JD got a new wallet from the boys.

J trying on his new hat, shirt, and learning how to throw the football correctly.

He's a tough guy ;)

Logan trying on his hat, shirt, and his new tennis racket.

Grandma & Grandpa brought this AWESOME scooter to Jackson for Christmas. He is a little unsure about it, but it has a seat that can be removed. Can't wait for him to really try it out.

My boys surprised me with some sweet things! JD went and bought me new pj's and 2 new maternity shirts. So thoughtful!  Also a rechargeable battery for my phone, since I may have a slight problem with letting the battery go down too low without charging it. Sweet hubby, always looking out for me! :)

Although missing family was really hard this year we enjoyed our time together and celebrating Jesus birth and what that means! So grateful for all our lovely gifts & company! :)

After opening presents all morning, some of us still needed to get dressed for the day. We explored all our new gifts and had a nice relaxing day at the condo. We had originally planned to spend Christmas day with some sweet friends and their families from Small Group, but half of the group had sick kiddos, half didn't and we were sort of in between. Logan had developed a cough over the week and so going to the sick party it was likely we could catch more than a cough, but going to the healthy party wasn't an option either since newborns were present and I certainly didn't want to pass Logan's cough to them. So, we opted for staying home. Although a little disappointed, only because we have been BLESSED with a sweet group of families here and we were looking forward to MK getting to meet all of them and spend time with the people who have supported us here.

Relaxing at home I think was needed, but also so nice!

During nap time/rest time we improvised dinner. I had seen a Christmas tree made out of fruit so after cutting all the fruit up Logan & Grandma were the designers!

What an AWESOME job they did!

Reminded us of Aunt Jenn! She always has such fabulous and creative food decoration ideas!

This boy loved spending that sweet quality time with Grandma!

We had bacon wrapped green beans, twice baked potatoes, chicken & fruit tree.

For dessert as our tradition has been is a birthday cake for Jesus.
The boys helped make the cake, ice it, decorate it, and put the candles in.

Singing Happy Birthday to Jesus.

Helped each other blow out the candles.

That evening as it was Christmas night for us, it was just Christmas day for our other family members.
We facetimed Emme & Papa later in the week after we got their Christmas package in the mail.

The boys had a week long celebration of Christmas.
They got a remote control Dusty that came with wings the boys could wear and control him with.
SO COOL.

2 Hot Wheels car garages!
We have plenty of cars to fill those up!

A few other cars & Dusty planes!

Lots of clothes, candy, & treats!

I think they loved the box just as much!

And the neatest thing- which was suppose to be from Santa was their new Imaginext castle.
The boy absolutely loved it!!

Thank you Emme & Papa for all the sweet gifts!
Lots of play time a head for these boys!
