Rainy days

During Jackson's morning nap Logan and I love to take some us time and find something to do together. Lately we have been making it outside-- rain or shine!

I really enjoy the mornings we do stay at home and I get this special time with him.
The kid cracks me up, ALL the time.

On one of our Children's Cd's there is the song if all the raindrops were lemon drops and gum drops, oh what a rain the would be...
Anyone remember that song... it's very popular at our house right now, hence the next picture.

I'd stand outside with my mouth open wide.. Ahh Ahh ahh... (favorite part of course :)

Logan foot has recently grown (yes, again) and so we had to upgrade our rainboots..
Lighting McQueen or Lighting Queen as Logan calls him-- one super excited, always wants to wear them, kid right there.

Much love,

You are easy going, flexible and SO much fun to be around. Thankful for you sweet boy-- praising Him for his goodness and blessing of you in our family!

Love you Jackson Paul,

Swim Lessons

We started swim lessons this past week at our local Community College.
I was SO excited about starting these, Logan has always loved water-- not in his face, but essentially loved water. We felt like it was time to really give him a feel for the water and teach him what to do if he is around water and falls in.

Can you tell how excited my sweet boy is?!

He was pumped!! And pretty much wore his backpack and towel around till it was time to leave...
an hour after this picture was taken!

Logan has done AWESOME in his swim lessons.  He has been attentive to the instructors directions and even though we haven't learned as much as I would have liked, we still have 2 more weeks and hopefully will get a little bit further.
We have learned to float on our back, float on our tummy, count to 3 (cue) and go under water, switch from tummy to back to float. We are really working with him on jumping in and swimming/getting himself to the side. He will NOT jump in though- sweet cautious boy.

Proud of you Logan James!

Sword Fighting

One of the boys favorite nightly things to do is sword fight...

Have I explained the importance of not teaching our children things where they could misinterpret the appropriate timing for these activities. Yes, yes I have, but in the grand scheme of things watching my boys have so much fun together laughing and destroying things- yes, even each other. I've come to the conclusion it's worth it.

Sweet Jackson, I know you look defenseless, but I promise as you get older the pictures will change and I hope that you will let your older brother win some :)

Much love,

Phone pics...

I have LOTS of pics on my phone that I always have the best of intentions of posting about, but just forget!

Grandma & Grandpa Weathers

While we were in Arkansas we got to spend the evening with Grandma & Grandpa Weathers too!
We very rarely get so lucky as to spend so much time with both families! Thankful for every moment of that time.
Grandma & Grandpa brought Great Grandma Weathers over to see the boys as well.  Jackson was in rare form getting both of his upper teeth in this week, so hopefully next time Great Grandma will get some more one on one time with the sweet boy!
We had dinner, played with toys, chatted, and even got a 4-wheeler ride!
It was a packed evening, but so relaxing and nice!
Thank you Grandma & Grandpa for such a wonderful evening!

Grandma and Jackson hanging outside.

Jackson checking Great Grandma out!

Logan helping Grandpa back up.

No worries, Jackson is not allowed to ride the 4 wheeler yet.. He did enjoy sitting on it though!

Logan and Grandpa after their exciting ride. I guess Logan found where the gas is...;)
We all made it back in one piece though!

Look forward to our next visit and adventure!
