This past week we headed off to Houston to enjoy a little getaway while Daddy had to work. We always enjoy getting to go on a trip with Daddy, especially because it means more time with him and not away from him! We left Monday around 930-- Jackson's naptime and got to Houston around 2. We had lunch together and then dropped JD off at work and we hit the mall! That is one thing I love about Houston, when we go for a few days is that they have some awesome mall kids play areas. We ended up going to Memorial Mall where they have a huge, enclosed castle-- I love it most of all because there is a security guard that stands outside the play area and makes sure no kids leave without their parents.
Logan quickly made friends with a sister and brother duo and they became Jake and the Neverland Pirate crew... he was SOO excited he ran up to me with the biggest smile to tell me he was part of the crew. L.O.V.E.D it.
Can you guess what he is going to be for Halloween?
Jackson getting to ride on the suitcase.
Logan used to do this when he was really little-- as seen above... he has gotten so much bigger!!
Having fun in the hotel room!!
On Tuesday we hit up the aquarium in the morning!
I had my camera on the wrong setting and to get it to the right one it just didn't work out. These two boys are too quick for me to sit and do that!
They both were not too fond of the shark on the bench.
Jellyfish.
Big Puffer fish!
Logan showing me how big the snake was!
Electric Eel
We had never done the train before so since we are a HUGE fan of trains right now and sharks we did the Shark Train this time. I was under the impression that we were going to be able to get out and walk and look at the sharks, but must have misunderstood.
Quick shot of Logan with the saw ray behind him.
As we were leaving to head out to eat lunch we stopped by and saw this guy.
Logan thought he was pretty cool!
It was definitely a fun day!! We headed back to the hotel after this for "rest time" for some and a nap for the little man. All in time for us to meet my Aunt, Uncle, Cousin, and Cousin's fiance for dinner! My Aunt was so sweet to invite us over for dinner that night, they had not had a chance to meet Jackson! She had a kids table all set up with little gifts for the boys and even a little stool for the bathroom so they could wash their hands. It was all SO thoughtful! We had a fabulous time visiting, mostly chasing the boys, but the company was priceless!
We got up the next day and headed out! It was a short, full, but wonderful trip!
Much love,
The Weathers
