On Monday before Easter my sweet friend Leslie had her annual, this is the 2nd one she has hosted, Easter egg hunt at her house! Let me tell you this lady sure knows how to put together an awesome kid party! As soon as Easter season started approaching I started remembering last years hunt and was SO hoping she was having another this year!

This year was extra special because Leslie read to all the kids the Easter story and I thought that was so wonderful. These kids are at an age where they are starting to remember traditions and what holidays are about. Even though the Easter egg hunts are fun and the Easter bunny is cute and leaves lots of neat gifts, it's not the reason we celebrate Easter. Jesus is.
Our hearts and minds need to be centered on Christ and the sacrifice he made on the cross for US! He rose AGAIN-- He is ALIVE! Our prayer for our kids is that that is what is written on their heart and minds about Easter. Yes, we can look forward to all the fun activities that come with Easter, but JESUS is the REASON.
To hear Logan say that, "On Easter we celebrate Jesus... he came to save us and he is alive again?!" As if he were making a statement and asking a question at the same time. I LOVE that curiosity, but also the innocence of figuring out what it all really means. I LOVE the questions. I pray he never stops asking questions!
