Emme comes to visit....

My posts are becoming out of order...
My mom came to help me out this past week while JD was gone.  How thankful I am for my sweet Mom who drove 6 hours to be with us... little did she know she would be cooking dinner while I cleaned up nastiness and doing laundry (7 loads in one day) while I cleaned up more nastiness and staying up all night helping me comfort my sick child and clean up nastiness.
Thank you Mom!!

Since it was Logan's birthday week, of course Emme and Papa spoiled the little man with little gifts all week! And it cheered him up!
Emme bought Logan a Dino costume for Halloween.
Is he not the cutest dinosaur... he was in heaven by the way!

Showin off his tail.

Logan's new comforter from Emme & Papa..

Jackson 5 weeks old.

Emme brought J some cool sneaker socks that I just LOVE!!
too bad he won't be able to wear them long, my poor boys all have huge feet!

Logan attempting to ice a cupcake for himself..
Wasn't really feeling it.

Little birthday surprise from Mom & Dad!

PJ's... wahoo!!

and Dinos!!

As you can see we wore the dinos to bed that night...

Emme and her 2 boys!
These 2 boys adore their Emme!
Logan continues to search for Emme in our house... she's been gone almost a week now! ha!
Emme and Papa also gave Logan a Dino Train Movie (SUCH A HIT!!), Dr. Suess Matching game, Mickey Mouse coloring book,  and new bed room attire!! He loves it all!!!

Logan's birthday Morning... Jackson and Lola taking a snooze... Ha!!!

Opening his birthday card from Emme & Papa...
We sang Mickey Mouse Clubhouse AlllllLLLLL day long...

Excited about his card.

Daddy called to wish Logan a Happy Birthday, of course we had to show him our awesome new card and sing the Mickey Mouse song for him!

Then Papa called and sang Happy Birthday to him...
My Dad has always called and sang Happy Birthday to us on our birthdays...

Logan listening to Papa sing...

Made the little man some chocolate chip pancakes for his birthday breakfast!

Not sure what to do...
He figured it out pretty fast though!

Emme before she left with her 2 boys!

A day in the life....

Our days have a pretty good routine, but some days we just wing-it...
This was one of the wing-it days!
We played outside, the weather was absolutely GORGEOUS, couldn't pass it up!
This is how Logan likes to play outside... inter-tube protection from the puppies.. I guess?!?
Such a ham..

Jackson nappin--- such a little cat napper...
Thank you for the ADORABLE onesie AMY!!!

Finger painting!
I'm stealing the idea from my dear friend Lora.
They just set up a whole craft room for her and her daughter and she put up frames with Tessa's artwork in them.  I LOVE the idea so I thought I would do the same with some of Logan's artwork in our playroom!! So we decided to do some art for that!

Pinterest has given me pretty much all my ideas for artwork...
I'm addicted!
Too many projects though and not enough time to finish them all!

Uh-oh were dirty...

Finished work!
I'm pretty sure the leaves on the flowers were not suppose to touch the flowers...
My boys have just too big of feet!

We have been working on our emotions.
This Logan's scared face.

Happy/Goofy Face.

And what the little mister does while we do artwork...
so content...
Look at those rolls! I love my chubby boy!! :)

First Bottle & Train....

Jackson had his first bottle-- 4 weeks old.  I'm so thankful I am able to pump a bottle this go round. I had a baby shower/girls dinner thing to go to so I left both the boys with JD for the evening.  How blessed I am to have a husband who insisted I leave both boys and enjoy my evening! I DID! JD said he took it like a champ, of course my good little eater would! He took the bottle right before I left and so I had to take a few pictures... he gave JD this look like, who are you and where did you get this good stuff.

Mr. Curious (Logan) always asking questions... "What's that??"

Ta-Da ... finally a completion of part of the room!!
One of my dearest friends here gave Jackson the neatest thing...
but, I didn't want to put it on the wall in case we moved so JD cut out a board and painted it so we could hang it in Jackson's room!
It won't be long before were measuring him on it!!
Thank you TARA!!! :)

Logan's Traumatic Week...

Our poor sweet boy had a rough start to his birthday week and continued that rough start into a fairly traumatic week.  I say traumatic in the looses of terms, for Logan and I it was traumatic with all things considered we really could just call it a series of "bad" or "eventful" days.  We started off on Sunday deciding that going outside without our shoes on was a good idea.  Which ended in a HUGE splinter straight up the middle of his foot--> leading to JD sitting on the upper half of Logan's body and I sitting on the lower half just to get it out. For me and Logan this was in our opinion traumatic-- I was crying, he was crying, Daddy was trying to calm us both. After it was over though we made the little man his own BIG chair out of pillows on the couch and soothed ourselves with fruit snacks, cars bandaids, and Dino Train.

Little man on his throne of pillows.

Our boo-boo.

Had to show it off again.

Monday we had a pull-up incident.... I will go no further in explaining this one--- TMI.
But, it resulted in a lot of tears and hurt.

Tuesday however was even more eventful.  Logan went to school and I received the dreaded phone call...
Logan had gotten injured while at school... it was not bad enough at the time-- so they told me they just called to inform me they didn't think he needed to be picked up or see a Dr.  I had lunch with a friend that day whose child is in Logan's class and when we got to the school Logan was hysterical. The child hardly cries about any injury (only cries when throwing a tantrum) and he was beside himself. Praise the Lord for sweet friends who helped me managed both kiddos.  Logan got his eye scratched from where the color of the eye is all the way down to where I couldn't even see anymore. His eye was swollen and red-- prob. just from the crying, but it looked horrible. I know how it is when I even have an eyelash on my eye and so I couldn't imagine what that felt like. On top of this injury JD had taken Logan to school because he was going to be gone the whole week and so when Daddy didn't show up to pick Logan up with me Logan was even more upset.  So we finally all made it back to the car and I talked him into wearing his sunglasses so he wouldn't touch it.. I just so happened to have picked him up a cookie after lunch for a fun after school snack, so thank goodness that was a little distraction. After the cookie was gone though it was a ROUGH afternoon. I got the Dr. to call me in some drops and finally talked Logan into sleeping with a cool compress under his sunglasses for his nap. Getting him to sleep was def. a challenge....

To top the night off he ended up throwing up and having diarrhea ALL NIGHT that night...
Praise the Lord my Mom came in town...
We didn't sleep from 2am Wed. morning till 2pm that afternoon-- I didn't sleep until midnight Wed. night, but  that's beside the point. By dinner on Wed. Logan was completely fine and never ran a fever at all.  However from all the grossness of that night he developed a horrible diaper rash.  So bad that he couldn't even walk without screaming so we were carrying him everywhere.... Poor baby.

The next day was THANKFULLY uneventful---besides a slow recovery process and I let Logan make some cupcakes for his class!

Friday was Logan's birthday and I tried my best to make up for the rest of the weeks horrible events! I think my Mom and I did a fairly good job though! Thank you Mom for everything you did!! I'm not sure I would have made it without you!!

What did Jackson think...

ha!
