Singapore National Library

Today we decided to venture out and find a library. We took a taxi there which took about 20 minutes. I'm so glad we tried it though because it was one of the neatest and our first "green" library! We rode the elevator, accidentally, to the 14th floor... Neat view of the city from up there and then finally headed down to the basement where the children's library was.

This is the entrance to the children's area... SO cool!

They had these chairs which doubled as a ride on toy and a chair. Of course the boys LOVED those!

As you can see  in the background the children's area had a treehouse you could climb up and sit to read. There were little reading nooks all along the outside of the treehouse. Such a cool idea!

We did love the features of the library but the book selection was slim to none for English. Oh well an adventure was had and we did leave with some books! It took us about an hour to get home on the MRT, but we arrived just in time to meet Daddy at the bus stop!
We will have to venture out and discover some other libraries!
