Bintan, Indonesia- Day 1

Our holiday weekend started on Thursday!
JD was able to leave a little early on Thursday to help me unload some of our sea shipment which came today as well!!
We packed up-- unloaded very little-- and headed out excited about our weekend!

We started off with a 30-45 min taxi ride to the Bitan Ferry Port. The taxi dropped us off, we checked in, got a snack, and only sat about 5 minutes before our ferry boarded. We ended up being one of the first people on the ferry and had terrific seats right in the front. PTL-- it was a bit of a bumpy start- I still start to get a bit queasy when I think about it.

My handsome boys/man!

Mr. Cool and his Daddy enjoying the Ferry.
The Ferry was about an hour long and they played Chronicles of Narnia during the ride as well which helped the time to pass by as well.

The Welcome Center at Bintan

Our ferry.
We waiting through Customs for about 45 min- 1hour. and finally arrived to our shuttle bus.
We jumped on and headed to the resort!
On the way to the resort the bus driver slowed down and was honking.
I looked out the window to see a monkey on the side of the road!

Our resort- Bintan Lagoon.

When we arrived at the resort they had a traditional dance going on and they served us drinks as well.
We checked in and then made sure to get all of the excursions we wanted to do booked as well!
It looked like it was going to be a crowded holiday weekend.

The boys waiting while we booked excursions.

Found our room!

Boys were super excited this night-- They thought they were going to get to sleep together..
One day= But not yet.

Our room.

Now for dinner!
We hit up the restaurant to get a bit to eat and some drinks.. all around...
JD finally tried a Singapore Sling-- not too bad.
JD said it tasted like a wedding punch-- I would agree.

Watered apple juice all around for the kiddos.

Think they are enjoying it?

My margarita... oh how I love a frozen drink and a beach!

Only thing about this side of the world is that it melts too fast!
