Jurong Bird Park & Labor Day

Today in Singapore.....

IS FIRST AND FOREMOST OUR LITTLE SISTER, SISTER IN LAW, & AUNT'S BIRTHDAY!!!

WE WISH YOU WERE HERE WITH US!!
HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY! WE LOVE YOU!

Also in Singapore today it is Labor Day...
Who would have thunk it.... I sure didn't.
JD came home last night and told us he had the day off today... WAHOO!
We had to make a full day of it! :)

We woke up early to get a head start to the Jurong Bird Park, but first we had seen this beauty from our place but couldn't see all of it so we decided to go check it out.
It belongs to a Swiss-Italian Billionaire who married a British woman so they had all kinds of flags on this boat.
It has 6 stories, a helicopter pad, a fold down beach club.
In case anyone is interested about the yacht and owners:

 After seeing that beauty...

We caught a cab to the Jurong Bird Park.
The World's Largest Bird Park.
Such a really neat place.

We took a cab in front of JD & The Bedsoles so we had some opportunity for photo ops.
Papa and the boys ready for the bird park.

Emme & the boys.
Logan was upset because he had to put his map down.
He takes his guiding skills very seriously! :)
Like Father like son!

Papa and his look alike buddy!

Me & my big boy!

Beautiful Orchids.
State flower! They smell outstanding as well!

Ready to go into the park!

Logan checking out the ducks & fish before going in.

Ready to guide us through the park! He was excited!

Kim & I by the flamingos!
We had such a lovely time with them!

Papa ready for the penguins!

Boy did it feel good in this place!
Just like at the Tyler Zoo---my favorite place to hang! :)

These were the biggest penguins I had ever seen!

My panoramic view of the penguin tanks.
They had macaroni, King & and I can't remember all the other names!

Logan and I stuck in the bird cage!

They had incubators of new baby birds.
This was a Red-Fronted Macaw.

This is how many eggs an ostrich lays... WHAT.

The biggest egg hatched by the extinct elephant bird and the teeny tiniest, looking like a tic tac is the hummingbird.

Our cool chicks all hatched in the nest.

Jackson waiting for the bird show.

This was such a neat show.
They brought out all kinds of different owls, falcons, and vultures for us to see.

Kim, Me, J, Logan, Jd, & Chris waiting for the show to begin.

The first to come out was this falcon-- reminded me of the movie Mulan.
He rode out on his horse running with the falcon sitting on his hand.

Another bird the vulture came flying out and landed on her hand.

They talked about how women were falcon trainers as well back in the day.
They had a Jake dog that came out and found a rabbit in the bushes he was on point for.
It was a short and sweet program, but so neat to see all the different birds and have them fly around us.
I wish I would have gotten a picture of the HUGE vultures at the end.

Birds eating their lunch.

Logan and i watching the fish.

JD meeting these guys.. he forgot his coconuts though ;)

Can't get this to flip.
The boys also got to enjoy a carousel ride while we got hydrated!

Jackson's first carousel ride!
He loved it and was holding on SO tight!

The Weathers and the waterfall!

The fam in front of the water fall!

After the Jurong Bird Park we decided to hit up a restaurant.
We went to Robertson's Quey and ate at Brusselsprouts.
It was a German Restaurant.
We all got some AWESOME fries & onion rings!
Because it was Labor Day they were taking pictures of people with props and they posted them on their website.
Here is how ours turned out!

After lunch we walked through Clark Quey and they had these fountains in the middle of it and so we decided to let the boys have a little fun.
I took so many videos of this-- it was hilarious! Jackson learned to sit on the fountains and Logan learned to run right through them.

It was fun to let them run around and cool off for a bit.
They absolutely loved it!

To finish off the day Fidel Castro decided to pay us a visit--- LOL!
Logan's new favorite little snack. Yan Yan's.
Another fun day of adventures come to a close!

Happy Labor Day!!
