Day 1- Singapore Style

After arriving in Singapore at 6am, we had the WHOLE day to explore, try to stay awake, and find out just how HOT/HUMID it is here!

There was a Taxi waiting for us when we got here. Such a sweet guy, he even brought a car seat with him which made this Momma feel better about her boys riding in that than just in the seat. That is one thing that is going to be hard to do, yet will simplify the travel process. For all of our things we had to get an excursion van as a taxi- HA! Logan was so excited  and talked; seriously NON-STOP talked about everything he was seeing, including about the taxi driver and his driving skills. Oh my! Luckily the driver had a great sense of humor or he really didn't hear what his said. I'm hoping for the 2nd one.

Singapore has some of the most BEAUTIFUL scenery I have ever seen! Their flowers and landscaping is gorgeous and everywhere!

Logan loving the taxi ride with Emme.

As of right now until Saturday when we can move into our apartment- permanent living here in Singapore. We are staying in a furnished apartment. It's called the Orchard Parksuites. Very nice place, so different from U.S.-- They had a crib waiting for us and as a gift baby necessities such as body wash, shampoo, toothbrushes and even kid plate, bowl, and silverware. They are a lot more strict about dress code here. No pj's or swimwear is allowed in the lobby. You must come down dressed for breakfast and with your manners- meaning quietness. Have you met my family? We are "in process" of learning all these things, all good things dealing with self control and patience-- which even I need some lessons in these!

This is the entry way to our temporary apartment. No one wears shoes in their houses here. I have already LOVED the housekeeping as well! :)

Guest Shower.

Master Shower, vanities, and bath tub.

Guest Bedroom.

Living area.

Kitchen.
Most kitchens here have doors to them. Not a bad idea.

View from our 14th floor place.

On the balcony. For the first and last time. Not a fan of heights, especially with kids.

The mall next to us is called ION Mall, there are about 3 malls all next to each other and all have very high end stores! I have never seen so much fashion in my life! 95% of the people here are dressed to the 10's all the time. The other 5% usually in workout clothes.  The architecture and art that is displayed outside of the malls is so neat as well! Need to go and take more pictures of it. It is very much like New York City, the crowds, prices, and taxis.

Logan showing how big the "bubble" is.. this leads to the MRT- train station.
We have not ventured on that yet, but I'm sure in the near future we will be learning it.

How pale we Americans are and how the humidity does a number on our hair!

Headed to the pool!

The humidity and heat here is unbelievable-- Thank goodness for pools!! Logan LOVED swimming in the pool! They even had a kid section!

Tomorrow we will visit International Baptist Church-- very excited!!
