On Tuesday we hit up the Singapore Zoo. There has been much talk about how outstanding the zoo is and it did NOT disappoint! The zoo is in the North part of the island so we opted for a taxi ride instead of the hour and 30 minute bus ride. Well worth it!
If you want to check out more about the Singapore Zoo:
We will most certainly be hitting the zoo again! The afternoon is the best time for the kids to be able to feed animals, ride animals, and see the shows available.I prefer the morning as we did this time, but the experience would be worth it!
The Zoo also has a Night Safari and Rainforest Boat Excursion that we can't wait to try as well!
Emme & Logan starting the Zoo off right with the Tree Tops Trail.
The Zoo certainly did it right with all their photo op places!
Papa & his boys entering the zoo.
Not sure who was more excited.. Papa or the boys :)
First photo Op... You can faintly see Singapore Zoo in the background!
Crocodiles!
Cayman Crocs.
Jackson & Papa checking them out.
Emme & Logan walking around.
Next up the monkeys.
Almost all of their exhibits are open, meaning no glass. Personally I think it's awesome!!
Turtles!
The exhibits that did have glass the animals were very active and were always up close!
Jackson's personal favorites, the monkeys!
Monkey photo op with Papa!
Jackson and the otters--- too cute!
Our awesome guide! Like Father like son! :)
These guys were not only stinky, but not the prettiest animals I have ever seen.
This is how far a tiger can jump from a standstill.
Open monkey exhibit! AWESOME!
The vegetation in this place is incredible and so beautiful!
Another J favorite... FISH!
A huge gard the boys thought was SO cool.
Pygmy hippos...
by far one of my favorite!!
Because the hippos are so dense they do not float so they walk across the bottom of the river, or in this case the bottom of his home.
The baby was SO cute!
I just loved watching this guy go back and forth in the water!
His tail was interesting too.
Coming up for some air.
Lesser crocodile.
Don't think I want to mess with this little guy.
Australian Outback!
Just getting ourselves ready for the next part of our journey!
Logan ready to be in the outback exploring !
Cassowary
Tree kangaroos
Cool tunnel to the Baboons.
Let me tell you this is one place I might be I know I would be ok not going back to.
The smell was..... lingering... blah!
We got our workout for sure at this zoo! They have so many different levels that you are hiking on!
Thank you Lord for the stroller.
Baboons.
You cannot even begin to imagine the number of Baboons present in this area.
Some of the baboons has babies riding on their backs... so cute.
More monkeys... lots of monkey exhibits.
The zoo keepers were feeding the monkeys at the time we were going by so they all came out.
Me and my sweaty-- who am I kidding we were all sweaty-- baby boy!
Malaysian Sun Bear
Smallest bear in the world.
So cute.
Biggest porcupine I have ever seen.
Little monkey.
Cloud leopard.. in the corner.
Beautiful scenery around the zoo.
Alligators.
Talk about freak a mother out... Jackson was walking over by the exit to the alligator exhibit and all of a sudden a turned to look at him and this lizard was creeping into the exhibit right by him. AH! Papa thankfully scared him off.
Biggest and smallest frog in the world.
Nasty, nasty tarantula.
Ducks entering the COOLEST place I have ever been in. I thought it was just a butterfly garden, but it was SO much more than that. Every where you turned you saw an animal-- not just any animal, animals I have never seen before.
Fruit bats-- they were crazy close!!
Spotted stingray
Logan looking a nectar tray with butterflies on it.
Logan next to 2 fruit bats... CRAZY!
Lemurs and I. I could have reached my hand up and grabbed the tails of both of them.
I went to put my hand down on this railing to lean over and out of the corner of my eye I saw this guy. HEART ATTACK!
Sloth eating his lunch of corn.
Logan and the sloth.
Beautiful red bird!
The naked mole rats.
They have a whole exhibit for these animals!
Not sure why.
Creepy.
As always in Singapore we took cover for just a little bit for a rain storm to pass over.
As we waited for the storm to pass we took cover with some monkeys!
The giraffes!
Logan's favorite animal.
The Lion!
and last but not least..
Mousedeer.
We had a BLAST at the zoo! It was an incredible experience and we didn't even hit ALL the attractions!
We will be back Singapore Zoo! :)
So fun!!! Love seeing the boys take it all in;)
