Riverwalk & Fountains

Our fruit for the morning.
I couldn't try it. It smelled like an alcohol swap.

Good Morning Jackson.

We had a busy day today! We first got out and walked around looking at fountains and went on the other side of Orchard Road we had not explored yet.

The boys just LOVE fountains.

Looking at birds.

After walking around we grabbed a taxi and we to the Ministry of Manpower down on the Riverwalk.
We needed to apply for our dependent passes.

Jackson up in the M.O.M. looking out at the sites of Singapore. It really had a spectacular view.
The 2 towers (there are actually 3, ones is covered up by the window) is a ship on top of the towers. This is where there is a light show every night at 8pm. Suppose to be awesome. We have not done that on yet.

Logan watching the boats in the canal.

He saw 2 boats.

After applying for our dependent passes-- which again like everything else here was SUPER efficient and quick we headed down for some lunch.

Mom  had seen this cafe advertised as we were going upstairs to the M.O.M.
They gave the boys colored pencils and a big coloring page.

We ordered pasta and a bread with Carino's type dipping sauce.
This world is so small!
We sat down to eat and this couple comes and sits next to us. We say hello and they start asking us where we are from which leads us both to find out were from TX and then that were both from Tyler. It ended up being a co-worker of JD's and his wife. They knew exactly who I was and who the kids were. In all of Singapore to be at the same place at the same time is just crazy!

We had a fabulous lunch which they ended up picking up for us, which was so gracious of them. We enjoyed a wonderful conversation and learned a few VERY helpful tips for living in Singapore.

This building is directly across the street from the cafe. I just LOVED the shutters! They were all different colors!

Emme & the boys at lunch!

The boys and I.
Let me tell you, I'm not sure I will ever figure out how to do my hair here. I have tried blow dry straighten, just blow dry, sleep on it wet... it's just TOO HUMID here. May not wear my hair down for the next 2 years.

It was a busy day, but productive one!! :)
